Edgewater Hotel Wanaka, Wanaka

My stay at the hotel was overall comfortable and met our needs, although there were some noise issues initially. The room was cozy with a spacious bedroom, ensuite, lounge, dining areas, and a small kitchen. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to provide us with useful information and tips for our future vacation. The location, right on the lake, offered a beautiful and peaceful setting with easy access to the town center. The dining experience, however, was a letdown with limited options in a poorly presented area. Despite this, the small gestures of the staff made our stay memorable.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The room was superb, located directly overlooking the pond and with a view through to the lake. It had everything we could possibly need, but unfortunately, the thin walls made it easy to hear conversations from the adjoining room, which was less than ideal on New Year's Eve. The service was exceptional, with friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to accommodate us. The location was perfect for our activities, allowing us to walk and cycle easily. The dining experience, however, had some issues with a lack of fresh fruits and poor full breakfast options.

The apartment-style rooms were very clean, very tidy, and very comfortable, although a bit tired and did not fully meet our expectations. The service was really good, with helpful staff explaining routes and providing weather updates, even offering a nice bottle of water upon check-out. The location right on the lake with fantastic views made for a gorgeous and private setting with easy access to town. The dining experience was a bit of a letdown with overpriced and average food. Overall, the hotel offered a clean and comfortable stay with great service and a stunning location, but the dining was a weak point.

The hotel offers fabulous views of the lake from the well-designed rooms, with clean and fresh decor. The service is professional and friendly, although some staff lack craft beer knowledge. The location is fantastic, right on the shores of the lake, perfect for relaxation. Dining options are a bit pricey, but with fresh seasonal fruits available. A modernization touch could enhance the tired vibe of the location.
